NORTHERN TANZANIA SAFARI


Northern Tanzania safari is a 6 days safari to the most famous parks of north Tanzania. Northern Tanzania Safari includes Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Parks.

Day 1: Arusha City – Lake Manyara National Park Safari

Pick up from Arusha city and depart for Lake Manyara National Park via Mto-wa mbu Village with picnic lunch, Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Hotel (L,D)

Lake Manyara, which packs a lot of diversity into a small area, is the only park in the area that is green all year round. The park also offers a spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley and the fig forest here is a good place to see monkeys and some of the 350 species of birds that have been recorded here. With luck, you may spot the tree climbing lions for which the park is famous

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast depart for Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch

The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

Day 3: Game Drive in Serengeti National Park (Serengeti Migration)

After breakfast, full day game drive of the park with picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight at Seronera Wildlife Lodge (B,L,D)

Enjoy full day of game viewing in the vast Serengeti plains where you may encounter the migration consisting of over 2 million animals. They also attract the attention of predators like cheetah and hyena and you may be able to see a band of lions gang up for a hunt.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast morning game drive in Serengeti National Park with picnic lunch. Later depart for Ngorongoro Crater Rim. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge (B,L,D)

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, descend to the Crater floor for game drive. Lunch at hippo pool picnic site. Ascend to the rim and departure for Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire River Camp (B,L,D)

Ngorongoro Crater is the largest collapsed volcanic crater in the world and fourteen kilometers of isolated natural beauty. Ngorongoro Crater is surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes and the floor, dotted with watering holes, shelters some 30,000 animals. You can expect to see lions, elephants, Zebras, Hippos, Flamingos, Jackals, Rhinos Antelopes and many birds. The birds seen here include eagle, vulture, and flamingos in the Crater Lake, stork, bats, giant vulture, sacred ibis, kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long necked heron and the cattle eagle.

Day 6: Tarangire National Park Safari – Arusha City

After breakfast, morning game drive of the park with picnic lunch. Later depart for Arusha city (B,L)
Tanzania’s third largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa. Here you may see lion, leopard, cheetah, lesser kudu, buffalo, Oryx, eland, giraffe and zebra.
